情景作文不同于命题作文，考生只能依据所提供的信息和要求去写作，需要发挥的余地不大。情景作文测试的重点在于：测试考生对给出的信息的理解能力、综合能力和重新编排能力。在写作过程中，考生首先要把试卷中的中文信息翻译成英语；然后，再把精力放在语言的组织和表达上。在情景作文的写作中，应注意语体的选择。例如，在书信文体中，如果收信人是亲朋好友，可使用简洁、轻松的非正式语体；相反，就要考虑间接、客气的正式语体。例如：
